Abstract

PROBLEM: The pandemic has significantly affected business operability, forcing in certain cases to modify its structure to adapt to the new reality, however, there is a proportion that in part does not manage changes, which increases the risk of bankruptcy and insolvency, becoming a detriment to the people linked to the entity. OBJECTIVE: to evaluate by means of an algorithmic model the transcendental variables in the minimum business risk and vulnerability in a Covid-19 scenario. METHOD: fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA) provides a step towards a holistic and simultaneous understanding of the patterns that create these conditions, using a constructive theory approach RESULTS: based on the algorithmic calculation, the independent variable VI5 (Insufficient cash flow to maintain staff and business operations) is the one needed for the probabilistic combinations. CONCLUSION: it is necessary for the company to know how externalities have affected the company, i.e., how dizzying changes in the environment have been risk inducing.
