Abstract

PROBLEM: the demographic increase and food insurability has become a topic of high convergence in international organizations, according to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), this need induces high production and high use of production inputs reducing cost efficiency and effectiveness in the productive volume. OBJECTIVE: perform linear models under machine learning standards to inputs versus harvested volume. METHOD: a linear machine learning bagging and boosting model is applied for its resolution. RESULTS: the most important predictors according to the stratification of the components are the amount of herbicide, amount fq (N) and amount fq (NPK), in addition, the variables of the model have directly proportional behavior, i.e., the estimators are positive for each element. CONCLUSION: the highest predictor, i.e. amount of herbicide, helps harmful weeds that can subtract minerals and nutrients from the crops to grow, however, these can alter soil ecosystems (microbiota) reducing considerably the quality of the agricultural product.
