Abstract

PROBLEM: The Achilles tendon is a crucial structure in the human body, but its constant exposure to loads and intense physical activities makes it a frequent source of pain, dysfunction, and injuries such as acute partial rupture. OBJECTIVE: To describe the conservative treatment in acute partial rupture of the Achilles tendon. METHOD: An investigation was carried out based on the review of scientific studies and academic sources. RESULTS: It was found that conservative treatment in acute partial rupture of the Achilles tendon focuses on initial immobilization, followed by physical therapy, control of pain and inflammation, stimulation of blood flow and changes in activity in association with adequate rehabilitation and adherence to the plan. of treatment to achieve a successful recovery. CONCLUSION: Among the solutions, programs and training for health personnel on early functional rehabilitation are needed to ensure the effective recovery of patients who suffer an acute partial rupture of the Achilles tendon.
