Abstract

OBJECTIVE: analyze the levels of empowerment of networked students as a teaching tool for the self-monitoring learning at the intermediate level. METHOD: the analytical-descriptive methodology was implemented, including quantitative, qualitative bibliographic and documentary analysis of theories of technological learning ecosystem, articles and scientific studies of the digital educational paradigm. Eleven structured interviews related to the teacher's perception of the work during the 2021 school year were analyzed. RESULTS: a very low level of empowerment of the networked student in the areas of research, analysis, credibility, administration and data organization is evidenced. CONCLUSION: the level of empowerment of networked students is considered a limitation and evidences the need for teacher professionalization to enhance digital competencies, curiosity for self-learning in order to achieve high levels of empowerment.
